I called Rigid and Vision-X- both indicated they would be releasing their GEN-2 specific applications at end of January 2017. I have vision-x light bar between bumper pads on my Gen1 and it has been awesome. Don't want to block intercooler on GEN 2 and don't want aftermarket bumper- hope they come up with GEN2 lightbar solution. ??Curved bar mounted off tow hooks????
Hey Greg, I assume you are talking about the small light bar mount thats holds multiple units. It is a Foutz Racing Product.
I have been looking for this bar for weeeeeks! But.....beware! Because it may block/seriously degrade the forward collision assist/cruise control radar...
You have to relocate the adaptive cruise module/sensor. ADD offers a "relocation kit", but there is no explanation of what it is. The bumper installation instructions from them tell you to remove the module, but don't say what to do with it?? It sits way out in that opening, so any bumper or light setup that includes frame horn cut is going to need to relocate it I think.
Just bought these to replace the shitty license plate lights , cool white ones Saw it on the other board Passing it along
Yo sapper that's cool but I'm a little confused. You want your plate to be MORE visible? Props on getting the mods started early but man I don't know about this one...catch me on crappyplatelights dot net!
You will see on yours The led lights everywhere except license plate I don't want it to Scream but clean is the key, so I hope Especially since I not putting the front plate on it required When you getting yours
Good point, I'll reserve judgment and defer to guys like you that actually have trucks for now. I stopped talking to AutoNation - thanks to Rapere1 I locked up a truck in Denver. It's on the lot but has a factory defect, bad engine knock sensor. Gaskets are about 4 weeks out from the factory, they are trying to expedite. I assume that once AutoNation gets a build date for the truck I ordered in September, I will be hearing from them. I look forward to telling them to shove that 6,000 lb supercrew straight up their collective asses when that happens
Cops don't need light to read your plates. It's the age of Big Brother, they take an infrared picture of it. I am supposed to have front plates here in N.Y., but none of my good rides have them, my '10 Raptor has a virgin bumper as my new one will too. Never been yanked for it.... watch, now I'll get pulled over for opening my mouth. So to put LED bulbs in to make it match and look correct isn't gonna raise the awareness of LEO's.
Speaking of light bars...lol I submitted a query to KC as to when we might expect the release of some Gen 2 compatible gear.. I will post any response that I get. With any luck, they aren't taking any pages from fords communication book...
