First Deliveries and Delays

Just got this from my dealer:
So a trace was open today on yours and 2 others that will be the first shipment to us. They hadn't shipped cause the US hadn't accepted the EPA ratings on the raptors which is why they sat for a month. Since the trace was opened this morning they should ship anyday

 

Might be why our Canadian brethren got delivery dates before anyone else. Less restrictions.

 

Never thought about it that way but kinda makes sense

 

I just received a "status change" for shipment for the week of Jan 20-26th. My build date was Nov 7th.

 

Get the hell out of here! Where did you get it from? And wonder why so far out. My build date was 15 Nov and if I have to wait that long.......

Your build date was a week after mine, so chances are your Raptor is parked in front of mine

I heard from my dealer last Friday that FORD has OK'd the release, we should start to see the backlog of trucks built starting to ship. My source said that indeed there were QA issues related to the transmission that required testing and possible mods or changes. I don't know if I believe that or it's just more smoke! He also said the the transmissions from Dearborn were OK'd to ship and my Raptor was one of those - Again truth or smoke, who really knows? I'm hoping for an Early Christmas present!

I put the new Goodrich KO2's on my 2012 6.2L because this delay took so long and love them! Great on road and off! This is the same tire that will be on the 2017's. My dealer let me have them at a pretty good discount because of the delays. I really like the way they look too, much more aggressive. I've had them way above 80 on the freeway and they are silky smooth there too.

 

Hey Gdog - I just put the new KO2's on mine a few weeks ago and love them!

 

I really liked Disco's comments and touch with "reality" Seems to be what's happening for sure...

 

All these Christmas songs on the radio are reminding me of my raptor built 10-25.

I'm hoping to have a "lightning" blue Christmas... but then again, re-confirmed the ship date to the Jan 20-26th... :-(

 

Still saying tbd on mine and it's off site getting the bed liner in it right now
