Been to a couple of forums and did my rounds of search. Does anyone know the exact weight of the stock 17 Raptor wheel? After research, I have my eye set on a wheel. However it is 31lbs. Weight is a factor for me as any new wheel must have form and function, which means not weigh more than stock. So has anyone stuck the stock wheel on a scale?
I had a customer say it was 31-32lbs on his scale. So you'd be staying the same, give or take a pound.
I'm right there with you. I took my 24lb Roosts off for a wheel that weighed 29lbs. It was a sad day lol. I figured it was a little better than stock so not terrible. What wheels are you looking at?
Make sure to test fit them before mounting. Their old molds needed spacers to work on Ford's. Hopefully they've fixed the issue with the new styles. http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f25/v-rock-vr9-terrain-do-not-fit-raptor-50561/
Not necessarily, the new styles might work. I just wanted to pre-warn just in case so you don't mount a set and get stuck with them.
I'm leaning more towards all black wheels now on my Magnetic SCREW when it arrives and will definitely get my wheels from @CUSTOMWHEELS4U, you've been a big help with the multiple quotes I've asked for lol
On another note, and probably not the right board to post it on, but I live in the Oklahoma City area, along with another member that I grew up around and met back up with thanks to this forum, but Merle's automotive really does have a sick fog light kit and I gotta say, We "rep the 405" and I'll be going that route http://www.merlesokc.com/raptor.htm
